We are reaching out to inform you about an upcoming maintenance window affecting Cleura Public Cloud, region FRA1 (Frankfurt, Germany).


General information

  • We will carry out maintenance in Cleura Public Cloud, region FRA1 (Frankfurt, Germany).

  • The maintenance window starts: 2023-02-06 at 08.00 CET.

  • The maintenance window ends: 2023-02-10 at 17.00 CET.

  • Our maintenance will not require any customer intervention before or during the maintenance window.


  • Customer impact

  • During this maintenance window, we anticipate the overall customer impact to revolve around higher latency in our block- and object storage services.

  • As with any maintenance, however, the actual upgrades, restarts and patching can still affect your services. Please get in touch with our support if you experience any unexpected behaviour in your environment.


  • Scope:

    During this maintenance window in FRA1, we are going to:

  • Upgrade and expand our block- and object storage services.

  • Perform security patching of our infrastructure services.

    Maintenance window starts: 2023-01-23 08.00 CET
    Maintenance window ends: 2023-01-27 17.00 CET

    Maintenance Scope:
    Throughout the maintenance window, a number of improvements will be implemented - from functionality to security alignment.

    The major part of the scope is the upgrade of the Block and Object Storage services.

    Our ambition is to carry out the majority of the maintenance window with little to no impact on running services.

    Infrastructure services will be restarted in a controlled and timely manner in order for proper security patching.


    Expected customer impact:
    - From 2023-01-23 (08:00 CET) to 2023-01-27 (17:00 CET), customers may experience higher latency towards storage.

    Cleura will perform this urgent maintenance window to mitigate an OpenStack vulnerability.

    The update will be run in the following order:

  • TKY1 (Tokyo)

  • FRA1 (Frankfurt)

  • KNA1 (Karlskrona)

  • STO2 (Stockholm)


  • Customer impact:

    - During the maintenance, you may experience API issues or unavailability. Please avoid any tasks - including but not limited to creation, deletion, or changes - to the following resources during the maintenance window:

  • VMs

  • Images

  • Volumes

  • Snapshots
