Dear customer,
We are reaching out to inform you about an upcoming maintenance window affecting Cleura Public Cloud, region TKY1 (Tokyo, Japan).

General information

  • We will carry out maintenance in Cleura Public Cloud, region TKY1 (Tokyo, Japan).

  • The maintenance window starts: 2023-09-04 at 08.00 CEST.

  • The maintenance window ends: 2023-09-08 at 17.00 CEST.

  • Our maintenance will not require any customer intervention before or during the maintenance window.

  • Customer impact

  • You may experience API issues or unavailability during resource creation or updating already created ones. We recommended postponing operations with OpenStack API 4th of September to minimize the risk of impact.

  • This maintenance will minimize the impact on customers' virtual machines and cloud resources reachability while upgrading the network nodes. Nevertheless, you might experience reachability issues lasting up to 5 minutes while connecting through L3 routers. We've planned a network stack upgrade on 5th of September, so connection issues may occur during this timeframe.

  • As with any maintenance, however, the actual upgrades, restarts and patching can still affect your services. Please get in touch with our support if you experience any unexpected behaviour in your environment.

  • Scope:

During this maintenance window in TKY1, a number of improvements will be implemented - from functionality to security alignment.
The major part of the scope is an OpenStack upgrade from Xena to Antelope, which will add new functionality to OpenStack services,

    In Antelope,
  • Magnum has been updated to support Kubernetes v1.24 running on Fedora CoreOS 36 and 37. Magnum has also been re-certified as a Kubernetes orchestrator.

  • The ability for users to transfer encrypted volumes across projects.

  • Octavia load balancers now support deep observability by adding PROMETHEUS listeners that expose a Prometheus exporter endpoint. The Octavia amphora provider exposes over 150 unique metrics.

  • Moreover, the maintenance cycle encompasses an array of forthcoming features and the resolution of known issues.

    Other tasks
  • Perform security patching of our infrastructure services.
